Pitt pursued nobody else and has nowhere left to turn but their own bench, 4/4 New Coach search beings with John Calipari and Skip Prosser as lead candidates 4/3 Ben Howland leaves Pitt for UCLA 3/30 Big East Team Syracuse goes on to win the NCAA Tournament, even though they didn't win the Big East Tournament. 3/25 Pitt ousted from NCAA Tournament in Sweet 16 for seonc year in a row. This time by Marquette 3/15 For the first time in University History, Pitt has won the Big East Tournament. Despite injurys to Troutman and Knight and Lett fouling out, Pitt crushes UCONN by 20 points in Madison Square Garden to win the Big East Championship. 3/14 Pitt advances to Big East championship game for third year in a row and second year in a row against UCONN. Brandin Knight has sprained his ankle again, coming down for a rebound after aggravating it pulling up in the lane. He is probable for the game, shades of last year when he had ankle injurys effecting his playing time in the double overtime thriller against UCONN. |

| More than just a #1 seeding is riding on the Big East Tournament, but an incredible bet with so much on the line is at stake as well. Possible Scenarios: If Syracuse wins the tournament: Jason Ritter will run through the Giant Eagle parking lot wearing sneakers...and thats it. SFP papparazzi has decided not to cover that if it does happen. If Pitt wins the tournament: Jason Ritter will get to date any of Andy Trdinas (cousin of SFP partner Ed) friends. A scenario involving taking Heather out to dinner was being discussed, but due to the seriousness of that event it was thrown out at the last second. Update Pitt wins the Big East Tournament so now Ritter gets to date any of Andy Trdinas friends. Ritter risked alot here but was there any doubt that Pitt was going to win it all. |

| Led by Jason Ritter, revelers set trash and a car on fire Saturday night in Oakland after Pitt captured the Big East Championship. Zone 6 police dispatched officers at 10:25 pm to Semple Street. No injuries were reported. Syracuse has been eliminated so there is no chance of Ritter streaking through the giant eagle parking lot naked, THANK GOD! If Pitt were to win the Big East tournament they are all but guaranteed a #1 seed with arizona and texas both losing early. Pitt was being projected as a #3 seed and will have first round game mid-major conference champion in Boston, MA. Now they are being projected as a #2 seed against a mid-major confernce champion in either Boston or Indianoplis. Jason Ritter currently getting in shape for the Pitt football team next year, where he is expected to walk on and hopes to earn himself a scholarship.
